The traffic does not stop
Racking aisles stay busy; a person with a mop has to coordinate every pass with forklift traffic. Safety and coverage both depend on timing.

Forklifts and tow tractors cross the cleaning route all day. Manual patrol cleaning had no standard, no measurable cost, and an ageing crew working through summer heat.

Long shifts in summer heat produce fatigue and variation. Cleaning quality changes with the shift, and the cost is hard to attribute.
How the machines were put to work.
C5 scrubs the racking aisles overnight. In the daytime it moves to offices and production areas, adjusting the schedule to footfall and shift changes.
Charging, water and tank rinsing happen at the workstation without a handover. The site gets one cleaning standard around the clock, with tasks and anomalies on record.
The same route follows the site, not a shift handover.
The racking is cleaned end to end while the forklifts are parked.
The robot moves to the areas where people are working.
Charging and water exchange fit between tasks, not between shifts.
